Everything You Need To Know About Apple’s Latest 2021 Event
Initially, all rumors claimed that Apple would have its first event of the year in March 2021. However, this didn’t come to pass as Apple instead has its first event (Spring loaded) on April 20. This event was indeed “Spring Loaded” because Apple made a couple of significant announcements, some of which surprised many.
Apple TV 4K with a redesigned Siri remote (from $179.00)
An update to the Apple TV has been rumored for years but has now finally been released. The new Apple TV 4K comes with the A12 Bionic chip, up to 64GB storage, and supports 4K HDR streaming. The significant change to this TV box is the newly redesigned all-aluminum Siri remote that comes with a touch-enabled click pad and a much better overall design.
AirTags (From $29.00)
For those who may not know, AirTags are simply tracking devices that you can attach to anything, and they will enable you to find it easily using your iPhone. So, you can attach them to your keys or backpack, and you’ll be able to quickly locate them in case they get lost using the Find My App on your iPhone.
Purple iPhone 12 and 12 Mini (from $699)
Apple also made a color update to the iPhone 12 and 12 mini; they now have a purple variant on top of the already existing five colors. Everything else about this iPhone is the same besides the new color that many people are already excited about.
M1 colorful iMacs (from $1299)
Apple also announced the new colorful M1 iMacs. These were an update to the 21′ iMac that hadn’t been updated for a couple of years. These new iMacs now have a 24″ display with slightly smaller bezels, 11.4mm thickness, and available in up to 7 bright colors. They also come with the already impressive 8-core M1 chip, up to 16GB unified RAM, up to 2TB SSD storage, 4.5K 24″ display, 1080P Facetime camera, and Keyboard with touch ID.
M1 iPad Pro (from $799 for the 11” and $1099 for the 12.9”)
We all expected an iPad Pro to get an update this year, but not many expected Apple to put the M1 chip in an iPad whose performance was already years ahead of the competition. This iPad now has an 8-core M1 processor, up to 16GB RAM, mini-LED XDR retina display, up to 2TB storage, 5G support, Thunderbolt USB-C, Triple camera setup, and lots of other impressive Pro features.
Subscription Podcasts and Apple Card Family
Apple announced a new podcast feature where some premium content will only be accessed by users who subscribe. They also added the family option to the Apple Card, where you can choose to spend money on your Apple Card with some of your selected family members.
