Kanye West Files New Trademark For Collab With Gap

Popular figure Kanye West further expands his brand, releasing the official logo for his line’s collab with Gap. 

Kanye West had previously taken to Twitter for the unofficial announcement back in June, posting “YEEZY AND GAP FORM PARTNERSHIP #WESTDAYEVER.”

As of April 9, however, gears seem to be turning once again. As first reported by TMZ, Kanye West’s team has recently filed for a trademark on the collab’s logo, indicating that a release date for their clothing line could be near. 

The trademark’s official description outlines the logo as consisting of “the letters YZY in white inside of a blue square with rounded edges.”

Similarly, it provides an insight into what the Yeezy Gap joint products could feature, as the goods and services under the trademark are listed as “retail and online store services in the field of clothing, footwear, headwear, accessories, bags.”

The unreleased line is already building enormous amounts of hype, including valuations that project billions of dollars in sales. 

Yeezy’s partnership with Gap is set to last for ten years, per previous reports. It also includes renewal clauses after the first 5. 

The logo is clearly built off Gap’s iconic blue/white look, indicating that both Yeezy and Gap rely on each other’s classic designs. As such, the retail line will likely feature affordable, stylish products. 

Kanye West has spent the past decades developing a solid brand and has established a large following that’s willing to buy anything with his name on it. Yeezy’s separate clothing products have seen massive success, with many items eventually rising in price due to reselling value. 

Some of Kanye West’s grammy-worn Yeezy’s are currently up for auction. The bid, starting at a staggering $1,000,000, further proves the dedication of his fanbase.

Much of his success has come from shoes, but the trademark report indicates that bags and accessories are expected to be released. 

Kanye West has encountered vast scrutiny for some of his recent actions and is fresh off a divorce announcement with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. His new endeavors represent an increase in his overall stability and hopes for a return to his prime self for many fans.
