But Olivia Rodrigo’s career took off in January of 2020 when she came out with her first single, “drivers license.” It immediately took off and spent eight weeks as the #1 song on Billboard Top 100. At the same time, it obliterated Spotify records.

The previous record was 80.7 million streams in one week, set by Olivia Rodrigo with her song “drivers license.”

The hype behind Olivia Rodrigo continued as she recently released her debut album Sour. The 11 song album topped the charts in the UK. Thus making herthe youngest solo artist to top the album and singles charts simultaneously. 

A key to Olivia Rodrigo’s success is TikTok, where many artists use her catchy beats in their videos. She could market her song on massive platforms such as Saturday Night Live and the 2021 BRITs. 

Olivia Rodrigo is one of many actors and actresses to start their music careers through their success on Disney Channel. She is in good company with people like Miley Cyrus, Demi Levato, and Selena Gomez.
