Over the past few months, Jake Paul and Logan Paul took over the internet with their viral YouTuber boxing gimmick. Recently,  they’ve stepped up their game even more with some significant future fight plans.

For Logan Paul, he’s set to face none other than arguably the greatest boxer of all time in Floyd Mayweather. Yes, THAT Floyd Mayweather. You know, the one with a 50-0 record. Although the February 20, 2021 fight was postponed today, Logan Paul says that everything is set, and it will happen sometime in the future, noting, “The fight’s still happening. We want to have a packed arena somewhere, and then the business side of things, we have to iron them out. He’s got many people on his team, Al Haymon got involved; if you know boxing, you know what that means for getting a real deal done and figuring out a venue. I need as much practice, training, sparring under my belt against this guy. With every day that goes past, I get better and he gets older.”

As Logan Paul gets set to step into the ring with the champ, Jake Paul is also set to pursue a big-name fight. After knocking out former NBA player Nate Robinson within minutes, Jake Paul took to Instagram to call out many fighters, notably Dillon Danis and Conor Mcgregor. Eventually, a fight between him and UFC star Ben Askren was announced, and the two are set to fight on April 17.

Simply put, the Paul brothers are geniuses. For content creators to leverage their following as a springboard to find themselves on a stage against some of the biggest names in the fight game is an incredibly overlooked marketing strategy. Within a few years, the two YouTubers have now risen to levels of fame comparable to Floyd Mayweather, and that is an impressive feat. Previously known as “those YouTuber siblings,” the Paul brothers have become some of the biggest names in both entertainment and boxing.

Similarly, Jake Paul’s fight choices have been on point, and going against someone like Ben Askren is the perfect move to make. While a great UFC fighter overall, Askren is not a primary striker and is instead more prone to wrestling. Thus,  Jake Paul may have an advantage, but Askren’s reputation as a UFC competitor will make a Jake Paul win look even better. The same goes for his interactions with Dillon Danis. Danis, like Askren, is a grappler, not a boxer.

On the other hand, Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather will be a fight for the ages. Will Logan Paul win? I’d be surprised if he did, but the paycheck will undoubtedly be enormous, and it is a fantastic event from all angles.

Their recent interest in boxing hasn’t been the first endeavor into something new from the Paul brothers. We saw them make music, star in movies, host podcasts, and more. Boxing, however, is sticking, and it’s sticking well.

The names on the Paul brother’s fight checklist spans from Ryan Garcia to Conor Mcgregor, to some of the wildest celebrity names that you’d never associate with boxing. If nothing else, their strategy makes for a great show. Who wouldn’t want to see their favorite influencers duke it out at Madison Square Garden?
